Lamson, the oldest cutlery manufacturer in the United States, was established in Massachusetts in 1837. Our company's name is synonymous with American artistry and carries a distinguished history - in 1869, newly-elected US President Ulysses S. Grant was presented a 62-piece Lamson dinner set at the White House, with pieces of this extraordinary gift remaining on display at the Smithsonian Institution.
Today, our talented artisans still handcraft each piece in western Massachusetts, offering an extensive selection of elegantly functional products, including laser-cut and forged cutlery, kitchen tools and trade tools. As we move towards our third century in business, our mission remains steadfast: to aim for nothing short of American-made perfection.
Lamson's products are a fusion of artistry and functionality, created for expert chefs and home culinary enthusiasts alike. With designs as diverse as the professional and household needs we supply, our knives and kitchen tools are at once high-performing and stylish, traditional and innovative.
The Vintage Series exemplifies our commitment to blending timeless aesthetics with modern ergonomics. Featuring an updated, hand-finished stabilized walnut handle, these knives boast a traditional look and feel, complemented by a sleek integrated bolster that allows for a traditional or pinch-grip. The brass rivets accent the stainless steel blade, creating a harmonious visual balance.
Signature craftsmanship is the hallmark of Lamson products. Each knife is meticulously crafted using state-of-the-art technology coupled with hand finishing, as well as proprietary polishing and sharpening processes, to achieve perfection.
Unmatched quality is assured through the use of proprietary high-carbon stainless steel (Grade 420HC-LAM) for the blades, paired with sleek and sturdy Infused Walnut handles. Our blades are precision laser-cut and tempered to a hardness of 58 on the Rockwell scale, resulting in a hard, wickedly sharp edge that retains its keenness for longer and is highly corrosion-resistant and elastic.
Superior performance is delivered through full tang blades with double brass riveted handles, ensuring ideal balance and weight. The curved and recessed integrated bolster provides a seamless transition from handle to blade, offering comfortable thumb and finger support for better control and safety.
While Lamson's Walnut Kitchen Knives are not dishwasher safe, proper care is simple - rinse and wash in warm soapy water, dry thoroughly with a soft cloth, and store. To maintain the beauty of the walnut handles, we recommend a light application of mineral oil every few months.
Experience the craftsmanship, quality, and performance that has made Lamson the standard-bearer of American-made cutlery for nearly two centuries: Experience Lamson.
